Given all the performane issues involved with multi track editing in Cinelerra, where every track is effectively rendered anyway. Is there any existing option to get a video track output into a separate viewer / compositor? Read: give me a window that only shows what is on this track. I am aware that <https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/CinelerraGG_Manual/Multi_Camera_Mixer.html> exists, but I am actually looking for just 'the track output' and not resource based interaction involved with mixers. Furthermore it might be a nice addition to get the multiview mode that OBS has to direct the program or multiview to a separate screen. -- Stefan
Interesting idea. You could open an issue in MantisBT, so that the request Is not Lost. Il dom 15 dic 2024, 21:50 Stefan de Konink via Cin < cin@lists.cinelerra-gg.org> ha scritto:

Do you just want one track at a time, or N tracks but where N less than total number of cameras? In first case hopefully just separate window with same track toggles as we already have will do, in other cases .... Did you tried proxy editing, in theory it should give you better performance?

There already option to move Compositor to separate X screen, do you want something else?

Yes! It is possible, using "Multi Camer / Mixer" - Expert Usage: https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/CinelerraGG_Manual/Multi_Camera_Mixer.html... I write the steps: 1. If the Video Track is not already there, in the Timeline, create a new one. It doesn't matter if it is created on the top of the tracks. 2. Create a "Mixer Viewer" for it: Menu-> Window-> Mixers...-> Mixer Viewer ( or using Shift+M shortcut). 3. Disable "Play Track" on that Video Track: "Play Track" is the icon button on its PatchBay. 4. link the Mixer (Viewer/Compositor) to that Video Track: - Enable the Mixer: You can see a white rectangle around the Mixer window. - Press the Mixer icon on the Patchbay of the Video Track. You can see all the Effects in the Mixer window AND you will not see that Video Track in the Compositor. For performance problem I usually use Proxy with: "Rescaled to project size (FFMPEG only)" option UNchecked https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/CinelerraGG_Manual/How_Rescaled_project_si... Tell me if you need a video, even though you can see something in the "Cinelerra GG: Multi Cam editing (with Proxy)" on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49EExsRsjlY IgorBeg Stefan de Konink wrote:
