I tried varying the parameters but without enabling keyframes (autos)
in the "Preset Edit" window. I don't know if that is what you wanted.

I forgot about this possibility, but wanted to test plugin autos (keyframes themselves work, you can change ffmpeg filter parameters along the timeline, just changes will be abrupt, not nicely curved)
